North Atlantic Noncommutative Geometry Seminar

Katsura's topological-graph C*-algebras generalize graph C*-algebras and homeomorphism C*-algebras. In this talk, I will present a class of topological-graph C*-algebras coming from noncommutative topology that are not graph C*-algebras, notably the C*-algebras of odd-dimensional Hong-Szymański quantum balls. Motivated by the pullback structure of the odd-dimensional Vaksman-Soibelman quantum spheres and the notion of an adjunction space in topology, I will introduce the adjunction topological graph and uncover the pullback structure of its topological-graph C*-algebra. The latter result generalizes the known pushout-to-pullback theorems proved in the context of graph C*-algebras.
