ML in PL
KNUM (our Machine Learning students club) invites you to ML in PL Conference 2025!
From its humble beginnings as a student-led initiative, the ML in PL Conference has evolved into the largest machine learning gathering in CEE, welcoming participants from across Europe and beyond.
Early bird registartion is now open! Come and see how Machine Learning is done in PoLand.
Baby Steps Beyond the Horizon - Hybrid workshop for students
Feel warmly invited to a hybrid conference "Baby Steps Beyond the Horizon", co-organized by our employees.
The conference gives an opportunity for students to see possible development of a scientific career and meet potential supervisors of doctoral dissertations (or postdoctoral internships).
MAT-BIO exchange
We invite students of all levels with an interest in theoretical biology to take part in the MAT-BIO Exchange, a four-day workshop focused on modelling biological processes and building an international network across European universities.
No prior experience in mathematics or biology is required—curiosity and interest matter more than background. The goal is to bring together motivated participants and researchers to explore topics ranging from population genetics and ecology to developmental biology, epidemics, and treatment models.
To express your interest, please send an email describing your motivation by July 31st to:

On the Modular Isomorphism Problem
We cordially invite you to a series of two lectures by Leo Margolis (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), an outstanding specialist in algebra, in particular in problems related to group rings. He is, among others, the co-author of the first ever counterexample to the famous Zassenhaus Conjecture regarding unity in group rings, which, despite the efforts of many researchers, remained unresolved for over 40 years.
The lecture entitled On the Modular Isomorphism Problem will take place:
- on Thursday, June 12 at 14:15 in room 3220 (first part)
- on Friday, June 13 at 14:15 in room 3240 (second part)
