Partial differential equations with linear growth

In the study of partial differential equations a key question concerns the regularity of solutions and, if the solutions are not smooth enough, finding the precise sense in which the equation is satisfied. The simplest approach uses the notion of weak solution and then the considered functions are weakly differentiable. In this talk we present the case when the functional in the considered partial differential equations has linear growth and some consequences of this fact, such as low regularity of potential solutions and difficulties in the formulation of the notion of solution, and the ways to overcome these problems.
W badaniu równań różniczkowych cząstkowych kluczowym zagadnieniem jest regularność rozwiązań oraz, jeśli rozwiązania nie są wystarczająco gładkie, znalezienie dokładnego sensu w jakim równanie jest spełnione. Najprostsze podejście używa pojęcia słabego rozwiązania i wówczas rozważane funkcje są różniczkowalne w słabym sensie. W tym referacie omówiony będzie przypadek, gdy operator w rozważanym równaniu różniczkowym ma liniowy wzrost i różne konsekwencje tego faktu, takie jak niska regularność potencjalnych rozwiązań czy trudności w sformułowaniu pojęcia rozwiązania, a także sposoby na przezwyciężenie tych trudności.
