The dean of Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics with the consent of the Rector of the University of Warsaw, announces a competition for the position of assistant profesor in scientific project „Robot generalist – advancing robot learning via reinforcement learning and VLAs”, financed by the National Science Centre, Poland (grant agreement UMO-2024/54/E/ST6/00388). Requirements:

• at the moment of employment, the candidate must hold a PhD degree in informatics. The degree must be obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project;
• significant scientific achievements;
• plan for future research activities
• international experience
• excellent preparation in this discipline, in particular in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, robotics

Research experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage: Computer vision, robotic manipulation, control theory, quadruppeds.

We are announcing a competition for a two-year scholarship for a PhD student in the Sonata research project entitled "Geometric Structures of Tensors," funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (UMO-2023/50/E/ST1/00336). Project leader: dr hab. Joachim Jelisiejew.

We offer a research scholarship for a PhD student in the Opus research project High-Dimensional Data Processing using Sample Compression and Dimensionality Reduction, financed by the National Science Centre (2023/51/B/ST6/02989).
