MASTER STUDENT POSITION IN “SINGULARITIES IN CALCULUS OF VARIATIONS AND PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS” NCN GRANT
One master student position is offered in the project “Singularities in calculus of variations and partial differential equation”, Polonez bis co-funded by the National Science Centre and the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement no. 945339 grant no. 2021/43/P/ST1/01501. The project is led by Rémy Rodiac.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in mathematics, computer science, physics, or related fields.
- Solid background in functional analysis, mathematical analysis and partial differential equations.
- Good written and oral English language skills.
Tasks:
- Participation in research project entitled “Singularities in calculus of variations and partial differential equation” no. 2021/43/P/ST1/01501
- Learning and performing research under supervision of the principal investigator
- Presentation of results at conferences and seminars
Deadline for applications: 27th of December 2024
Master scholarship: 1000 PLN for 6 months (until June 2025)

PHD POSITION IN “SINGULARITIES IN CALCULUS OF VARIATIONS AND PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS” NCN GRANT
One Ph.D. position is offered in the project “Singularities in calculus of variations and partial differential equation”, Polonez bis co-funded by the National Science Centre and the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement no. 945339 grant no. 2021/43/P ST1/01501.

Requirements:
- MSc in mathematics, computer science, physics, or related fields.
- Solid background in functional analysis, mathematical analysis and partial differential equations.
- Experience in conducting academic research is an advantage.
- Good written and oral English language skills.
The selected candidate must be enrolled to a Doctoral School located in Poland (at the start of the scholarship in January 2025).
Tasks:
- Participation in research project entitled “Singularities in calculus of variations and partial differential equation” no. 2021/43/P/ST1/01501
- Learning and performing research under supervision of the principal investigator
- Writing research papers
- Presentation of results at conferences and seminars

PhD scholarship: 5000 PLN for 6 months (until June 2025) on top of the scholarship offered by Doctoral School

Two IT-specialist in the scientific project "Smart-Contract Protocols: Theory for Applications"
The ERC project “Smart-Contract Protocols: Theory for Applications” (PROCONTRA), is offering 2 reasearch and technical specialist positions at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw.
Project PROCONTRA focuses on studying challenging problems in the area of smart contracts and blockchain. The main emphasis is on fundamental cryptographic techniques.
We expect candidates to have a master's degree in mathematics or computer science at the time of hire, and an excellent background in both fields. A good command of English, a good understanding of basic theoretical concepts and programming skills are required.
