BioAI Hackathon

Join the first international BioAI Hackathon at the University of Warsaw on May 12-15, 2025!

The aim of the 4-day hackathon is to collaboratively address current challenges in biomedical research using new advanced AI approaches. The hackathon will be held at the Centre of New Technologies.

All PhD students, post-docs, and industry researchers are welcome to participate.

Call for aplications: 1 postdoctoral research position in the scientific project Weave-Unisono, financed by National Science Centre

The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Mechanics, with the consent of the Rector of the University of Warsaw, announces a competition for the position of assistant profesor in scientific project „Homogeneity and genericity of metric structures: groups, dynamical systems, Banach spaces and C*-algebras”, financed by the National Science Centre (grant agreement 2021/03/Y/ST1/00072); principal investigator: dr hab. Maciej Malicki, prof. ucz.

Requirements:

  • excellent preparation in this discipline, in particular in one or more of the following areas: topological and symbolic dynamics, ergodic theory, descriptive set theory
  • research experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage: Borel complexity of classification problems in topological dynamics and ergodic theory, Borel complexity of sets of generic points in topological dynamical systems, minimal symbolic dynamical systems
  • fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Call for a Ph.D.student

Requirements:

  • MSc in mathematics
  • background in geometric analysis and measure theory (e.g. embedded and abstract manifolds, exterior algebra, differential forms, Radon measures, covering theorems, weak convergence of measures, Riesz representation theorem etc.)
  • fluent written and spoken English
  • ability to write in LaTeX
  • ability to search scientific literature and read scientific papers
  • motivation to work on abstract problems with no connection to real life applications
  • diligence, accuracy, and perseverance
  • good manners and personal culture
