I will present results on self-similar (travelling-wave, steady-state) solutions to surface diffusion. We are interested in the evolution of graphs of functions defined on the real line. Our analysis is based on the observation that a special perturbation of the squared curvature is convex. I will present the joint work with Glen Wheeler and a competing team of researchers.
