This talk begins with a brief review of the classical Chern character. Then the equivariant Chern character for K-theory and for the dual theory, K-homology, will be considered. The connection to cyclic (co)homology will be exposed. Finally, all the preceding will be viewed as special cases of the Chern character for equivariant-bivariant K-theory.
