- North Atlantic Noncommutative Geometry Seminar
The Ricci flow plays a central role in Riemannian geometry, both as a conceptual tool and as a driver of major breakthroughs. After introducing its fundamental ideas and classical applications, I will survey several existing approaches to noncommutative generalizations of Ricci flow. I will then outline a new framework based on spectral functionals associated with spectral triples, and present some initial results obtained within this setting. The talk is based on ongoing joint work with three students.
