In this seminar, I will present a mathematical model that describes the complex structure of an environmental system, incorporating the influence of the social dynamics on the ecological system. The model consists of a network of interacting dynamical systems, all sharing the same qualitative structure. The social dynamics are governed by evolutionary game theory, and the coupling among different regions is modeled via a linear diffusion term. I will discuss the properties of the model, and show some numerical simulations for isolated and network dynamics. Additionally, I will introduce some new problems arising from this framework, which are currently being studied with some collaborators.
