Nysa surprises with brazen vicinity of old and new. Such a vicinity exists not only in Nysa, but here it is extreme. At the town square you can find attractive old cathedral from 14th century, but also modern tower of recently rebuilt town hall. Panel buildings constructed of pre-fabricated concrete in soviet times, but also a decorated baroque well. And also a big hollow in the earth which seems like an abandoned construction site.
The whole town seems to be defined by all this. Which paradoxically is both repulsive and charming.
