(with Kasia and dad, October 2018)
As you know, it is practically impossible to get lost in Białowieża Forest. There are “tryby”, cut out partly in tsarist times, every half-verst (slightly over half a kilometer) in straight lines roughly north-south and east-west and dividing the Forest into sectors. Some “tryby” are difficult to see, but the majority of them are straight as an arrow forest roads. They have their charm – forest tunnels, colorful, especially in October. But it’s even cooler to go down any small path that quickly disappears in the woods just to get to the next “tryb” without any path absorbing the forest directly.
