Complexity and singular behaviour in face of the Castelnuovo--Mumford regularity
Abstract:
In this talk, I would like to show the many faces of regularity
as a measure of complexity, a notion that, regardless what area
we work in, we face somehow. The behaviour of regularity is
immensely intricate yet important to be rightly understood as
it tends to influence other invariants as well. Let me at least
try to shed some new light towards completing the picture.
