Workshop in Applied Mathematics:
Experiences and Visions
for Industrial Mathematics in Europe

The aim of the meeting will be a thorough discussion of interactions between mathematical community and industry. During the conference invited experts from ECMI (European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry) will share their experiences in cooperation between mathematical institutions and industrial enterprises. A particular emphasis will be put on problems which appear in new member countries of EU. It can be also a forum for discussion on mathematical education, which should prepare students for future employment in industry. Such an educational programme is already offered at universities participating in ECMI.
