Announcement (7th August 2025)I have cut my hair and donated it to charity!

On Thursday 7th August 2025, I will be cutting and donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust. Alongside my hair donation, I chose to fundraise for three charities: The Little Princess Trust, Polska Akcja Humanitarna, and Médecins Sans Frontières. I wanted to use this opportunity to fundraise more broadly; it is important for me to raise money for charities that resonate with my friends, family, and colleagues in the UK, Poland, Germany, France, and beyond.
By the time I cut my hair, I will have been growing it for 948 days! On 2nd January 2023, I got a number 1 buzz cut and I've not cut it since. It has been a fun journey of awkward hair styles, and more recently a dedication to conditioner and man buns. You can see progress pictures at the bottom of this page.
I was inspired to grow my hair and donate it because I've seen the difference it makes to those who need a wig. This was certainly true for my mum during her cancer treatment; the quality of life difference she experienced was remarkable!
I have enjoyed raising money for charity before and I'm hoping this will be my most successful fundraiser yet. I need your support to achieve this goal! Please click on a charity's logo to donate.

I believe in The Little Princess Trust's mission to provide real hair wigs to children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as alopecia. In addition to donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust, I wanted to raise funds for the charity because I strongly support both their approach to allocating research funds and the research projects themselves, which focus on developing better treatments for childhood cancers. |

The impact of Polska Akcja Humanitarna (PAH) is vast and wide-reaching. They provide humanitarian assistance (such as food, water, healthcare, and shelter) to crisis victims in a number of countries including Ukraine, South Sudan, and Lebanon. They also directly support Polish people: for example, their "Pajacyk" program provides meals and mental health support to underprivileged Polish youth. Furthermore, I chose PAH because they are impartial; they support people regardless of their background, race, nationality, or religion. They are a non-governmental organisation driven solely by practical and humanitarian principles. |

I chose to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) specifically for a few key reasons. Firstly, MSF has a long-standing and outstanding reputation for providing medical and humanitarian aid to those who need it the most without causing any harm. Secondly, the organisation is economically efficient; MSF only spends approximately 1% of their money on administrative costs. I also appreciate their transparency, it is good to know how and where your money is spent. Lastly, due to their scale and reach, MSF is able to afford a significant emergency fund which allows them to rapidly respond in emergency situations. |
