Abstract: Using the conjugation symmetry on Heegaard Floer complexes, we define a three-manifold invariant called involutive Heegaard Floer homology, which is meant to correspond to Z/4-equivariant Seiberg-Witten Floer homology. Further, we obtain two new numerical invariants of homology cobordism, explicitly computable for surgeries on L-space knots (such as torus knots) and thin knots (such as alternating knots). As applications, we give new bounds on the slice genus of alternating knots. This is joint work with Kristen Hendricks.
