Interpretability of Deep Neural Networks for Radiomics (INFORM) is a CHIST-ERA project funded by the Horizon 2020 Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) programme of the European Union. We conduct research and development in machine learning towards detecting tumors and predicting clinical outcomes, based on medical images (CT, PET, and others). Beyond deep learning classifiers, we are interested in interpretability and explainability, which would be critical for biological and medical applications.
Comprised of scientific groups from Poland (Institute of Informatics, University of Warsaw), France (LaTIM, University of West Brittany), and Greece (BioEmTech, University of Patras), we are a diverse and active consortium. Our UW team has led the ML/AI approach from the inception of INFORM. The Polish scientific group is funded under the CHIST-ERA project no 2020/02/Y/ST6/00071 (coordinated by the National Science Centre). For further details, please refer to https://inform-project.eu/.
This call seeks a master’s student who is interested in deep learning methods for cancer medical imaging under supervision of Dr. Neo Christopher Chung (https://cbml.science/). International visits, conference, and publication costs are supported.
