Objectives and scope:The conference Groups and Group Rings is organized since 1993 - click Previous Conferences for information on previous conferences of this series.
This conference has gained the reputation of a convenient meeting ground between leading scientists in the field and young researchers, especially from the neighboring countries.
The topics discussed during the conference will include:
- geometric and combinatorial methods in finite and infinite group theory
- units of group rings, the isomorphism problems for group rings
The lecture time is 50 minutes for the invited speakers and 15 or 30 minutes for other participants.

Location and travel information:The conference will take place in the Mathematical Research and Conference Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Bedlewo (near Poznan), Poland. Visit the web page of the Conference Center for detailed information about the Center. You will find there also the travel information. The organizers plan to organize a special bus connection Poznan - Bedlewo - Poznan for participants on the arrival and departure days.
Costs of the conference:Full cost of the conference for a standard participant will be 300 EU (200 EU for an accompanying person). This includes accommodation, full board and the conference dinner.
The organizers have some limited funds to support the stay of a few participants. Unfortunately, we cannot participate in the related travel costs. We will make the final decisions concerning the applications for partial support till the end of March 2005.
