Mathematical Logic 2
Spring semester 2011/12
A brief summary of what we've done, with pointers to the literature.
Some of you asked me to put homework problems on the web. They will be archived here.
Please remember that doing homework is not obligatory, but will always be appreciated.
Exams in the September session: the exam rules are just as in June (of course, if you are retaking the exam, you may change your "in-depth" topic). Right now, potential good dates include all weekdays in the weeks Aug. 29 - Sept. 2 and Sept. 5 - Sept. 9, but my actual schedule in that period will be slightly unpredictable.
Do not delay arranging your exam date for too long, and in particular, *do not wait* until the end of the official exam session. If I don't hear from you until Sept. 10, I will assume that you have forfeited your right to the exam.
Exam:
The exams are oral and by appointment. Potential good dates for an exam are June 2, 3, 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 16 (I will try to keep this list up to date).
The ideal time to begin depends on the date, but it would typically be somewhere between 10AM and noon, though earlier or later times are also possible. There can be more than one exam per day.
Once you've chosen a good date, please "book" it by sending me an e-mail, preferably at least two days in advance.
Some more information about the exams is here. Unfortunately, I won't be able to prepare a detailed list of "exam topics and problems". Use the course summary and homework sets as a guide.
