I made my Ph.D. in 1990, in the field of computational linguistics, and habilitation in 2004, in the field of multi-agent systems. Among main fields of my research interests currently are: non-monotonic logics, specification of programs, knowledge-based systems and multi-agent systems. Presently I am heading the multi-agent systems group at the Institute of Informatics of Warsaw University. From 2001 I'm the leader of Polish KBN Grant 7T11C 006 20 titled "Design, Construction and Verification of Reconfigurable Multi-Agent Systems", and from 2002 I am also leading the Polish group in the EU funded ALFEBIITE++ Project titled "A Logical Framework for Ethical Behaviour between Infohabitants in the Information Trading Economy of the Universal Information Ecosystem".
In September 2001 I was the program chair the Second International Workshop of Central and Eastern Europe on Multi-Agent Systems, CEEMAS'01. In April 2003, together with Rineke Verbrugge, I organized in Warsaw the First International Workshop on Formal Approaches to Multi-Agent Systems, FAMAS'03.
