Andrzej Szczepan Białynicki-Birula Foundation

The aim of the Foundation is to support Belarusian and Ukrainian students of mathematics and informatics at the University of Warsaw.

The Foundation bears its name after Andrzej Szczepan Białynicki-Birula, mathematician, researcher and educator, vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw, dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics (MIM).

Scientific stipends and allowances for academic achievements

Applications for scientific stipends from the Andrzej Szczepan Białynicki-Birula Foundation for the academic year 2025/2026 and allowances for academic achievements for the winter semester 2025/2026 can be submitted from September 10 to 24, 2025. The amount of the stipend is PLN 2,800 per month, paid from October 2025 to June 2026, see the scholarship regulations. The amount of the allowance for academic achievements is PLN 1,200; in the winter semester the allowance will be paid from October 2025 to January 2026, see the allowance regulations.

if you are a student of MIM UW, provide us with a screenshot from USOS with your last year grades,
if you have been just accepted to MIM UW, provide us with an information about your entry exam results and ranking in candidates list (picture or screenshot).

Optionally, let us know about your scientific or scholar achievements (competitions, publications etc) and give us a name and email of a scholar who can provide a recommendation for you. You can not obtain a stipend from the ASBB Foundation if you obtain a stipend of IDUB of the Warsaw University.

Submitting your application you accept the rules of ASBB Foundation scientific stipends; legally binding are regulations in Polish: Regulamin stypendiów Fundacji ASBB and Regulamin dodatków za wyniki w nauce Fundacji ASBB.
