How to get to B-IT.
- Once you have arrived at Bonn's central railway station (Bonn Hauptbahnhof), proceed to the underground station below the railway station.
- Take one of the following underground lines:
- 16 on platform 2, destination: Bad Godesberg Stadthalle (Bonn)
- 63 on platform 2, destination: Bad Godesberg Stadthalle (Bonn)
- 66 on platform 4, destination: Ramersdorf (Bonn) or Bad Honnef Stadtbahn
- These lines travel quite frequently (altogether almost every 5 minutes).
- The trip duration is approximately 5 minutes. Get off at "Heussallee/Museumsmeile" (the fifth stop)
- Go to exit "Welckerstrasse" and follow the red-dotted line on this picture.
Tickets
You'll have to get a ticket before proceeding to the platforms. The ticket you'll need is "Preisstufe 1b [CityTicket Köln/Bonn]"; (2.20 EUR).
Tickets can be purchased at
- Ticket machines. In general, these machines only take Euro coins, although some also take 5-Euro or 10-Euro bills.
WARNING: Do NOT buy tickets in advance (e.g., for your return journey) since tickets from the machines are usually stamped (i.e., marked with the current date and time) immediately and thus valid only immediately after purchase.
- "SWB ServiceCenters" (Stadtwerke Bonn). Here you can buy unstamped tickets. So don't forget to "stamp" your ticket at one of the ticket-stamping machines.
Other types of ticket are also available, e.g.:
- 4-in-one ticket: one single ticket that can be stamped four times; 7.40 Euros
- 1-day ticket: valid from 0 am to the following day 3 am; 6 Euros
- 1-week ticket: valid until the following Monday 3 am; 17.30 Euros
You can find a map of the railway station here. The railway station is the magenta box marked with "DB", and the entrances to the underground station are marked with a blue-white "U"-box, and the SWB ServiceCenters are marked with "SWB".
