Chcielibyśmy zwrócić Waszą uwagę na wizytę gości z UK Centre for Financial
Computing na University College London. Wizyta będzie miała miejsce

i obejmować będzie kilka prezentacji zwiazanych z:

(a) Algorithmic Trading - jest to  metoda automatycznego generowania
zlecen gieldowych

oraz

(b) Algorithmic Trading Competition z nagroda EUR/GBP25,000 - jest to
konkurs organizowany przez UCL, HarvardMIT  oraz wišdšce banki
inwestycyjne, którego celem jest doskonalenie istniejšcych algorytmów i
rozwišzań.


Cel wizyty to nawiazanie wspolpracy z UW w zakresie algorithmic trading
oraz udzialu naszych studentow w Algorithmic Trading Competition.

Wizyta zacznie sie 29.09 (czwartek) o godz. 10 spotkaniem, na które
zapraszamy wszystkich studentów MIM (dokladna sale ustalona zostanie
pozniej kiedy bedzie wiadomo gdzie juz sie skonczyl remont). Krótkie
prezentacje (w języku angielskim) dotyczyć będš:

1. UK Centre for Financial Computing            Philip Treleaven (10 mins)
Centre is a collaboration of UCL, LSE, LBS and the major Investment banks
(www.financialcomputing.org). Research covers computational finance and
Financial IT with over 40 PhD students working with the Banks/Funds.

2. Algorithmic Trading introduction             Philip Treleaven (30 mins)
An overview of the structure of Algorithmic Trading systems, Risk and
so-called Flash Crashes.

3. Algorithmic Trading Competition              Michal Galas (5 mins)
UCL, Harvard, MIT and leading Investment Banks are running a major
competition for PhD students and young professionals with prizes of
 25,000. We invite you to take part.

4. Algorithmic Trading & Risk Platform          Michal Galas (20 mins)
UCL has developed an algorithmic trading and risk environment (ATRADE)
with a large amount of financial data and accessible remotely via cloud
computing. ATRADE supports both virtual and real trading, risk simulation
and also supports the competition.
