Stochastic models in biological sciences

The workshop is organized in the framework of the European Science Foundation programme "Phase Transitions and Fluctuation Phenomena for Random Dynamics in Spatially Extended Systems" It will take place in Warsaw, Poland, in the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center. The workshop has an exploratory character. It is devoted to issues and problems in biology where one can apply methods of stochastic analysis. Topics to be discussed include evolutionary genetics and ecology, molecular motors, genetic regulatory networks and evolutionary game theory. The workshop also has a strong school/tutorial character. We invite PhD students and postdocs to apply for the participation in the workshop.
