The Institute of Mathematics is a part of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics an Mechanics at Warsaw University. The primary goal of the Institute is teaching mathematics as well as conducting research in various fields of mathematics. Currently the Institute employs more than 100 researchers which makes it one of the largest institutions of this kind in Poland. The research at the Institute covers a wide range of topics touching nearly every field of modern mathematics.
